SAFETY TIPS
- If you see a participant in need, help them and notify an organization official;
- If you are unwell or not feeling well, walk slowly and inform a participant/volunteer near you;
- Earphones or headsets are not recommended.
CHRONOMETERED TIME BY ELECTRONIC CHIP
If you are participating in the 5 km SML Stainless Steel or at 10 km, your time will be recorded by electronic chip. Timing is provided by Horizon 5, with technology from Sportstats. The chip used for timing is a tab stuck to the back of the bib. There is no chip to attach to your shoe. We will also use the chip to detect if you have done the 5 km or the 10 km. You can find your results on Sportstats.
Results
Since the purpose of the Défi Entreprises is above all to promote adherence to healthy lifestyle habits, there are no trophies or individual podiums. Also, as the number of participants is high, we use the time of the chip to make our ranking. This time would therefore not be recognized as your official time if you break a Quebec or Canadian record.
CHILDREN AND STROLLERS
Children aged 17 and under can register at a reduced rate for the Défi Entreprises to accompany their parent.
They can also accompany their parent registered for the Challenge for free. In this case, they do not need to register and they participate without a bib. They do not receive a sweater or lunch.
You can participate with a child in a stroller. However, we ask you to be courteous with the other participants.

WALKERS
Walkers are welcome during the Business Challenge. Each year, 20 to 30% of participants do so on a walk. For everyone's safety and enjoyment, walkers must keep to their right during the event.
Universal accessibility
The Business Challenge strives to offer races accessible to all and events accessible to people with disabilities.
Participants requiring a support person
We encourage visually impaired people to register for the Business Challenge. Visually impaired runners registering for the Challenge may register a guide at no additional cost. For this, please contact us at info@defientreprises.com.
Wheel chairs
There is no special category for wheelchairs. We only ask participants in wheelchairs to carefully assess the time they think they will take to complete their Challenge. They will be placed in the same starts as participants without disabilities.
If you are an athlete with a disability and want to participate in the event and have a question, please email us at info@defientreprises.com.
Gatineau Shared Races join forces with the Défi Entreprises
To allow people with physical or cognitive limitations to live a unique, enriching experience, in good company and in a safe environment, it is possible to rent a KartUs adapted wheelchair.
If you wish to make a reservation, write to coursespartageesdegatineau@gmail.com to validate their availability. There is no rental fee and you will need to collect and return the suitable chair to the location mentioned to you upon confirmation.
