Fall 2019 Business Challenge

Safety tips

  • if you see a participant in need, help them and notify someone in charge of the organization;
  • if you are unwell or do not feel well, walk slowly and inform a participant/volunteer near you;
  • Wearing earphones or headsets is not recommended.

CHRONOMETERED TIME BY ELECTRONIC CHIP

If you are participating in the 5 km SML Stainless Steel or at 10 km, your time will be recorded by electronic chip. Timing is provided by Horizon 5, with technology from Sportstats. The chip used for timing is a tab stuck to the back of the bib. There is no chip to attach to your shoe. We will also use the chip to detect if you have done the 5 km or the 10 km. You can find your results on Sportstats.

Results

Since the purpose of the Défi Entreprises is above all to promote adherence to healthy lifestyle habits, there are no trophies or individual podiums. Also, as the number of participants is high, we use the time of the chip to make our ranking. This time would therefore not be recognized as your official time if you break a Quebec or Canadian record.

Children and strollers

Children aged 17 and under can register at a reduced rate for the Défi Entreprises to accompany their parent.

They can also accompany their parent registered for the Challenge for free. In this case, they do not need to register and they participate without a bib. They do not receive a sweater or lunch.

You can participate with a child in a stroller. However, we ask you to be courteous with the other participants.

WALKERS

Walkers are welcome during the Business Challenge. Each year, 20 to 30% of participants do so on a walk. For everyone's safety and enjoyment, walkers must keep to their right during the event.
